Michael Lander

Michael likes to see people improve and succeed. Additionally, as a life long asthmatic, jiu-jitsu is not necessarily a 'natural' fit for him. So, he knows he can empathize with others who have certain restrictions or limitations. For Michael, jiu-jitsu is first and foremost a self-defense mechanism. He has been training for over 7 years and knows there is so much more to learn and understand. He has a passion for jiu-jitsu because it builds confidence and humility. He wants to share with others what jiu-jitsu has done for him.

Michael received his blue belt under the Pedro Sauer system and his purple belt under Coach Trevor, a black belt who founded Armory Jiu-Jitsu Academy. Michael is currently a 1 Stripe Purple Belt.

Brian Hendrix

Brian began his martial arts career in 1998 with Snowtiger Kung-Fu under Sifu Sheridan Lupo where he received his Black Sash. The latter of which Brian was inducted into the Judo Hall of Fame for Judo Player of the Year in 2002.

Brian began training Jiu-Jitsu in 2003 and received his blue belt in 2011 under Chattanooga Jiu-Jitsu Academy. In 2016, Brian received his purple belt in Jiu-Jitsu from Coach Trevor, a black belt who founded Armory Jiu-Jitsu Academy.
